NASA Can't Keep Up with Killer Asteriods

An article in a recent issue of The Progress-Index newspaper, from the Associated Press, said the NASA hasn't been given enough money to complete the job of spotting most of the asteriods that pose a threat to Earth. Congress assigned this mission to NASA four years ago, but never gave them the money to build the necessary telescopes. This is according to a report released by the National Academy of Sciences. NASA calculated that to spot the asteriods as required by law would mean spending about $800 million between now and 2020.
